AntClimNow Travel Awards for BACO 2025 and AMS Denver Summit 2025


AntClimNow will be offering two travel grants  to support Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and participants from developing economies or economies in transition. These grants are for individuals who have submitted an abstract to AMS Denver Summit 2025 and to BACO 2025:

AMS Denver Summit

AntClimNow will be offering travel grants of up to $2,000 USD to help cover travel and registration costs. The exact amount awarded will depend on science quality, alignment with the aims of AntClimNow, travel requirements, and the number of applicants.
Eligibility:
  • Early Career Researchers (ECRs): Researchers with less than 10 years of experience post-PhD (considering part-time research or career breaks).
  • Participants from developing economies or economies in transition (UN definition).

Required Information on the Form:

  • Brief description of your ECR status (if applicable).
  • Explanation of how your research aligns with AntClimNow and how attending AMS Denver will benefit you.
  • Estimated travel and registration costs.
  • Other funding sources (applied for or secured).
  • Your submitted abstract (relevant to Antarctic climate variability on the scale of years to decades).

  • Abstract submission: 15 February 2025.
  • Travel Award application: 16 February 2025.
  • Notification of awards: 17 March 2025 (conditional on abstract acceptance).
