Event Type

6–10 October 2025 – Utah State University · Logan, Utah

Atmospheric gravity waves (GWs) play a vital role in coupling the lower atmosphere with the ionosphere and thermosphere. While progress has been made in understanding their behavior, many questions remain. This joint workshop will bring together complementary research efforts to deepen our knowledge of GW generation, propagation, and impacts.

Purpose of the Meeting

This workshop aims to foster collaboration among scientists focused on gravity waves and related dynamical processes. It welcomes contributions from satellite missions, ground-based observations (airglow, lidar, radar), theoretical work, and atmospheric modeling. We look forward to welcoming you in Logan and learning from your latest research!

A limited number of travel grants for Early Career Researchers is available. Apply by 31 August to be considered.
