A number of conferences in 2025 present opportunities for researchers working on Antarctic Earth Sciences and Earth-Ice Interactions. These include:
- EGU 2025 (27 Apr – 2 May; Vienna )
- IAGA-IASPEI (31 Aug – 5 Sept; Lisbon)
- SCAR ISAES (18-22 August 2025; Punta Arenas)
The International Lithosphere Program Coordinating Committee on East Antarctica, working with SCAR, is happy to be able to offer a financial contribution to assist travel/participation at any conference where travel will be complete by the end of September 2025, including (but not limited to) the listed meetings. This support is primarily intended for student and Early Career Researchers, or attendees from under-represented countries. The financial support will typically range from EURO 500 to 2,000 depending on overall travel costs and the number of applications.
- Applications should be sent by e-mail: 1 – a one-page CV, 2 – a one-page summary of your likely costs and requested funds, any other funding available or applied-for, how you’ll benefit, and the title(s) of any presentation, or other contribution to be made (for example participating in/attending side meetings).
